India Imposes Five-Year Anti-Dumping Duty on R-134a Imports from China and Japan to Protect Domestic Industry.
The Government of India has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane (R-134a) from China and Japan. This decision follows findings that these imports were below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty, detailed in Notification No. 61/2011-Customs, is set for five years and is payable in Indian currency. The rate of exchange for duty calculation will be as specified by the Ministry of Finance. The duty aims to protect the domestic industry from unfair pricing practices by foreign exporters.
