of <h1>India Amends Foreign Trade Policy: Organic Pulses Export Capped at 10,000 Metric Tons Annually Until March 2012</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has amended its Foreign Trade Policy to regulate the export of organic pulses and lentils. Effective immediately, the export is limited to 10,000 metric tons annually, and must comply with specific conditions: certification by APEDA as organic, registration of export contracts with APEDA, and shipment only from Customs EDI Ports. This amendment modifies previous notifications and maintains the exemption from the general export ban on pulses, with the specified annual ceiling and conditions in place until March 31, 2012.
