<h1>India Rescinds Ban on Guar Gum with PCP to EU; Reverts to 0.01 mg/Kg Limit under 1992 Act</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has rescinded Notification No. 47 dated 18.05.2011, which required that Guar gum exports to the EU contain no Penta Chlorophenol (PCP). The previous regulation, Notification No. 50 from 06.07.2010, allowing Guar gum exports to the EU with up to 0.01 mg/Kg of PCP, remains in effect. This change was executed under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy of 2009-2014.
