of <h1>Govt Extends Kidney Disease Prevention Program in Ahmedabad Under IT Act Section 35AC; Budget Increased to Rs. 101.33 Lakh</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Prevention of kidney diseases through awareness programme' by an organization in Ahmedabad under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 2005 and extended in 2009, the project is now approved for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2011-12. The project cost has been amended from Rs. 34.02 lakh to Rs. 101.33 lakh, which includes the cost of a vehicle and recurring expenses for the next three years. This extension follows the recommendation of the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
