of <h1>Central Government Extends Kidney Disease Prevention Project Eligibility Under Income-tax Act Section 35AC for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Prevention of kidney diseases through awareness programme' by the India Renal Foundation in Ahmedabad as a project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 2005 for three years, the project has been recommended for an extension by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare. The extension is granted for an additional three years, covering the financial years 2008-2009, 2009-2010, and 2010-2011, with the approved cost remaining at Rs. 34.02 lakhs.
