of <h1>Central African Republic Added to Duty-Free Tariff Preferences List for Least Developed Countries Under Customs Act, Section 25(1)</h1> The Central Government has amended notification No. 96/2008-Customs, originally issued on August 13, 2008, regarding duty-free tariff preferences for Least Developed Countries. Effective December 1, 2010, this amendment adds the Central African Republic to the list of countries eligible for these preferences. This change is enacted under the powers granted by section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The amendment follows the last change made by notification No. 95/2010-Customs on September 15, 2010.
