of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification: Duty-Free Tariff Preferences for Least Developed Countries Adjusted, Percentages Increased in Appendix I.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 95/2010-Customs, amending Notification No. 96/2008-Customs, which pertains to duty-free tariff preferences for Least Developed Countries. The amendment reduces the percentage in clause (i) from '60 per cent' to '40 per cent' and adjusts various percentage entries in Appendix I, increasing them across different categories. These changes are made under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, and are deemed necessary in the public interest. The specific percentage adjustments range from increasing '4%' to '6%' up to increasing '40%' to '60%.'
