of <h1>India Adds Afghanistan to Duty-Free Tariff Preference Scheme via Customs Notification No. 45/2011.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 45/2011-Customs, amending Notification No. 96/2008-Customs dated August 13, 2008. This amendment includes the 'Islamic Republic of Afghanistan' as a beneficiary under the Duty-Free Tariff Preference (DFTP) scheme. The amendment is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. This change adds Afghanistan to the list of countries eligible for customs tariff exemptions as specified in the original notification.
