of <h1>India Revises Customs Tariff Values for Brass Scrap; No Change for Palm Oil, Soybean Oil, Poppy Seeds (Notification 86/2010)</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 86/2010 to amend Notification No. 36/2001 related to customs tariff values. This amendment, effective from 30th September 2010, revises the tariff values for certain goods including brass scrap, while maintaining existing values for crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, other palm oils, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, other palmolein, crude soyabean oil, and poppy seeds. The notification is enacted under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, and aims to update the tariff values as deemed necessary by the Central Board of Excise and Customs.
