of <h1>Ministry reduces IT SEZ in Andhra Pradesh by 1.82 hectares; now 14.47 hectares. Effective as Inland Depot 9/15/2010.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has de-notified 1.82 hectares from the initially notified 16.29 hectares of a Sector Specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT and IT-enabled services at Hi-tech City, Madhapur, Ranga Reddy District, Andhra Pradesh, reducing the SEZ to 14.47 hectares. This SEZ was proposed by a private organization under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. An Approval Committee has been constituted for the SEZ, comprising various government officials and a representative from the developer. Additionally, the SEZ will be deemed an Inland Container Depot effective September 15, 2010, under the Customs Act, 1962.
