of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Circular Weaving Machines to Protect Domestic Industry; $1193 per Machine</h1> The Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on circular weaving machines with six or more shuttles, used for weaving PP/HDPE fabrics over 30 cm wide, originating from or exported by China. This decision follows preliminary findings indicating that these machines were entering the Indian market at prices below their normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty, set at $1193 per machine, will be effective until October 11, 2010, and is payable in Indian currency. The applicable exchange rate will be determined by the rate specified in relevant government notifications.
