of <h1>Ministry Approves IT SEZ in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Designated as Inland Container Depot Under Customs Act</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT-enabled services at Kharadpada, Naroli in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. This approval, granted under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, covers an area of 12.81 hectares. An Approval Committee has been constituted, comprising government officials and a representative from the development corporation, to oversee the SEZ. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from August 18, 2009, under the Customs Act, 1962.
