of <h1>Government Cancels IT SEZ Notification in Dadra and Nagar Haveli; Area Denotified After Corporation's Request</h1> The Central Government has rescinded the notification establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Kharadpada, Naroli, in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Initially proposed by a corporation under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, the SEZ covered 12.81 hectares, as notified in August 2009. The corporation later sought to denotify the entire area, and approval for this was granted in November 2010. Consequently, the government has officially rescinded the SEZ notification, except for actions taken prior to this rescission.
