of <h1>Government Extends Approval for Chennai's Organ Harvesting Project Under Section 35AC for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Multi Organ Harvesting and Sharing Network in India' project by an organization in Chennai as an approved scheme under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 2005 for three years, the project is now approved for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2009-2010. The approved cost remains Rs. 1.97 crore. However, the exemption does not apply to funds collected during the financial year 2008-2009, and no exemption certificates will be issued for that year.
