of <h1>Government Extends Multi Organ Harvesting Project Eligibility Under Section 35AC of Income-tax Act Through 2016-17.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Multi Organ Harvesting and Sharing Network in India' project by an organization in Chennai under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved in 2005 for three years with an estimated cost of 1.97 crore, the project received extensions in 2009 and 2011. Following a recommendation by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, the project is now extended for an additional three years, covering financial years 2014-15 to 2016-17, without any change in the approved cost.
