of <h1>India Imposes Additional Duty on Chinese Potassium Permanganate Imports Under Customs Tariff Act 1975, Effective September 5, 1995</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and relevant rules, has imposed an additional duty on Potassium Permanganate imported from the People's Republic of China to India. This decision follows findings by the designated authority, published on August 8, 1995, indicating dumping of the product under Chapter 28 of the First Schedule. The additional duty levied is 5,992 rupees per tonne, effective from September 5, 1995, as per Notification No. 137/95-Cus.
