India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Styrene Butadiene Rubber Imports from Multiple Countries Until October 1999
The notification imposes an anti-dumping duty on Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) imported into India from Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, France, USA, Germany, and Korea RP. The Designated Authority determined that SBR from these countries was being dumped in India at below-normal value, causing material injury to the Indian industry. Consequently, the Central Government, under the Customs Tariff Act, mandates an anti-dumping duty based on the difference between specified amounts and the landed value per kilogram of SBR. This duty applies to specific grades of SBR and is effective until October 25, 1999. The 'landed value' includes all customs duties except those under certain sections of the Customs Tariff Act.
