Anti-dumping duty on thermal sensitive paper imports revised to address material injury; provisional rate set at $0.04390/sqm.
The Central Government has revised the anti-dumping duty on thermal sensitive paper (TSP) imported from Japan, Finland, Germany, and the European Union, following findings that these imports were causing material injury to the domestic industry by being sold below normal value. The Customs, Excise and Gold (Control) Appellate Tribunal directed the modification of the duty, leading to a provisional assessment of TSP exports by a German company at a rate of US$ 0.04390 per square meter. This provisional duty applies until the completion of a review, and importers may be liable for the duty amount recommended post-review.
