Initially approved for three years starting in 2006, the project has been deemed to continue effectively by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare. As a result, the government has extended its eligibility for another three years, covering the financial years 2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2011-2012, with an unchanged approved cost of Rs. 10.17 crore.
