of <h1>Import policy for platinum articles changed from Free to Restricted, with limited reimport exceptions and immediate effect.</h1> The import policy for ITC(HS) code 71141920 (articles of platinum) is amended: imports are changed from Free to Restricted and now operate subject to a new Policy Condition No. 6. That condition permits free re-imports of Indianorigin platinum articles carried for overseas exhibitions or export promotion tours, those rejected/returned/unsold, and those reimported for repair; all other imports of platinum articles require compliance with the Restricted regime. The amendment takes immediate effect and is issued by DGFT under the Foreign Trade Policy framework.
