of <h1>Low-ash metallurgical coke imports under HS 27040020/30/40/90 restricted for ferroalloy use, Jan-Jun 2026</h1> Introduces Policy Condition No. 08 in Chapter 27 of ITC(HS) 2022, Schedule I, prescribing that import of Low Ash Metallurgical Coke under HS codes 27040020, 27040030, 27040040 and 27040090-having ash content below 18%, including coke fines/coke breeze and ultra-low phosphorous metallurgical coke (phosphorous content up to 0.030%) with size up to 30 mm with 5% tolerance for use in ferroalloy manufacturing-shall be 'Restricted' from 01.01.2026 to 30.06.2026. Correspondingly amends the import policy for HS code 27040020 (and applies to the listed codes) from 'Free' to 'Restricted' for the specified low-ash product, permitting import only subject to Policy Condition No. 08, while imports with ash content above 18% and other goods under these codes remain 'Free'.
