of <h1>Central Government requires REEIMS registration for specific HS codes used solely for solar and wind generation, effective 01.11.2025</h1> The Central Government amends import policy for specified items under Chapters 70, 73, 84 and 85 of the ITC (HS) 2022 Schedule I, requiring mandatory registration on the Renewable Energy Equipment Import Monitoring System (REEIMS) for listed HS codes used exclusively for solar projects or for wind-generation end-use. Registrations apply to air, sea and land imports, must be filed at least two days before air shipments and five days before sea/land shipments, are valid three months, carry no fee, and are port-specific though multiple consignments may use one registration; importers must declare intended end-use. Changes take effect 01.11.2025 under powers conferred by the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act.
