of <h1>Import policy changed from Free to Restricted for silver jewellery (ITC(HS) 71131141, 71131149) until 31 March 2026</h1> Under statutory powers conferred by the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 and relevant Foreign Trade Policy provisions, the import policy for ITC(HS) codes 71131141 and 71131149 (articles of jewellery of silver) has been amended from 'Free' to 'Restricted' with immediate effect, the restriction to remain in force until 31 March 2026. The amendment applies to Chapter 71 of Schedule I (Import Policy) of ITC(HS) 2022 and was issued by the Directorate General responsible for foreign trade with ministerial approval.
