of <h1>Foreign Trade authority corrects HS Code error in Bangladesh import restrictions notification from 530010 to 531010</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued a corrigendum correcting a technical error in Notification No. 21/2025-26 dated 27.06.2025 regarding port restrictions on imports of certain goods from Bangladesh to India. The correction pertains to Para 19(2)(ix) of General Notes under the Import Policy schedule, where HS Code 530010 for unbleached woven fabrics of jute or other textile bast fibers should be read as HS Code 531010. This amendment was made under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. The corrigendum ensures accurate classification of textile products subject to import restrictions from Bangladesh.
