India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese and Indonesian Float Glass Imports to Protect Domestic Industry for Five Years
The Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of float glass, with thickness between 2 mm to 12 mm, from China and Indonesia. This decision follows a sunset review revealing that these imports are entering the Indian market at dumped prices, which could harm the domestic industry if current measures are withdrawn. The duty is set at US$ 133 per metric tonne for imports from China, US$ 81.21 per metric tonne for most imports from Indonesia, and US$ 71.16 per metric tonne for imports from PT Mulia Glass, Indonesia. This duty will be effective for five years, unless amended or revoked earlier.
