of <h1>India Alters Import Policy for Platinum: New Restrictions Under HS Code 7110, Except for 99% Pure Alloy</h1> The Government of India has amended the import policy for platinum under HS Code 7110, Chapter 71 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule-I. The import policy for platinum in unwrought, powder, or other forms (codes 71101110, 71101120, and 71101900) has changed from 'Free' to 'Restricted,' except for platinum alloy with 99% or more purity, which remains free. This amendment is enacted under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and approved by the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
