<h1>Government raises annual export quotas for artificially propagated Agarwood chips/powder and agar oil, imposes strict export documentation requirements</h1> A government authority amended export policy to raise annual quotas for artificially propagated Agarwood (Aquilaria malaccensis) chips/powder from 25,000 kg to 151,080 kg and for agar oil from 1,500 kg to 7,050 kg for FY 2024-25 to 2026-27, effective immediately, with state-wise allocations specified. Exports are permitted only from listed states and require: an attested Certificate of Origin following physical inspection by an authorized Forest Department officer, certified photographs, verification of stocks, an export order copy, and an undertaking of CITES-compliant harvesting plus submission of a valid CITES permit at actual export.
