of <h1>Govt Rescinds Excise Duty Exemptions on Exported Petrol, Diesel, ATF; Notification No. 31/2024-Central Excise Effective Immediately.</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 31/2024-Central Excise, dated December 3, 2024, to rescind Notification No. 08/2022-Central Excise, which provided exemptions on certain duties for petrol, diesel, and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) cleared for exports. This action is taken under the powers conferred by relevant sections of the Central Excise Act, Finance Acts of 2018 and 2021, and the General Clauses Act of 1897, citing public interest. The rescission is effective immediately, except for actions completed prior to this notification.
