of <h1>Government Withdraws Road and Infrastructure Cess on Petrol and Diesel Exports Effective December 2, 2024.</h1> The Central Government has decided to withdraw the Road and Infrastructure Cess on the export of motor spirit (petrol) and high-speed diesel oil. This decision is enacted through Notification No. 30/2024-Central Excise, effective immediately as of December 2, 2024. This action rescinds previous notifications No. 10/2022 and No. 11/2022 issued on June 30, 2022. The withdrawal is made under the authority of section 112 of the Finance Act, 2018, section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897, in the interest of public welfare.
