It specifies that all electronics and IT goods, including second-hand items, must comply with the Electronics and IT Goods (Requirements of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021. Imports of unregistered or non-compliant goods are prohibited unless registered with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) or exempted by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Non-compliant goods must be re-exported or will be disposed of as scrap. Random samples of LED products will be tested for compliance, and non-compliant consignments will be returned or destroyed.
