<h1>India Amends Import Policy: Screws Now Prohibited Unless CIF Value is Rs. 129 or Above Per Kilogram.</h1> The Government of India has amended the import policy for screws under HS code 7318, Chapter 73 of Schedule-I of ITC (HS) 2022. Previously categorized as 'Free,' the import of screws is now 'Prohibited' unless the Cost, Insurance, and Freight (CIF) value is Rs. 129/- or above per kilogram. This change affects various types of screws, including coach screws, machine screws, wood screws, screw hooks, screw rings, self-tapping screws, and other screws and bolts. The amendment is enacted under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, with the approval of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
