of <h1>Amendment to Customs Notification 147/94: Firearms Exemptions for Renowned Shooters with Import License or Permit</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 147/94-Customs to provide exemptions on firearms and ammunition for renowned shooters. The amendment specifies that these goods can be imported as personal baggage, gifts exempt from Import Trade Control restrictions, or with a Customs Clearance Permit or Import License from the Director General of Foreign Trade. Additionally, the goods must be for a shooter certified by the National Rifle Association. A 'renowned shooter' is defined as someone who has participated in a National Shooting Championship and achieved the Minimum Qualifying Score set by the National Rifle Association.
