of <h1>50% customs duty for firearms/ammunition for renowned shooters with qualifying scores, valid to 31 Mar 2029, superseded 1 Nov 2025</h1> The notification grants a conditional customs-duty concession for firearms and ammunition imported as personal baggage, gifts (where allowed), or under a customs clearance permit/import licence, limiting duty to the amount calculated at 50% ad valorem; the concession applies only where the items are for use by a 'renowned shooter' certified by the national rifle authority based on participation and minimum qualifying scores in designated national shooting events. The relief is time-bound (validity specified up to 31 March 2029) and the notification was later superseded by a subsequent customs notification effective 1 November 2025.
