Authorization of customs and revenue officers to exercise FEMA enforcement powers for specified contraventions under the Act. Authorization under the Foreign Exchange Management Act empowers designated customs, central excise and revenue intelligence officers at prescribed ranks to exercise the Act's powers in respect of the contraventions specified in clause (g) of sub section (3) of section 6 and clause (a) of sub section (1) of section 7, implementing a delegation of enforcement competence within the limits of the empowering provision.
