of <h1>India Amends Foreign Trade Policy: Export of Chemicals Allowed Under GAEC to Designated Countries for 5 Years.</h1> The Government of India has amended Paragraph 10.08(ix) of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023 concerning the General Authorization for Export of Chemicals and related Equipment (GAEC). The revised policy allows the export of specified chemicals, excluding software and technology, to designated countries as listed in Paragraph 10.16 of the Handbook of Procedure. This authorization is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and is valid for five years, subject to post-export reporting requirements. This amendment provides a reference to the updated list of countries covered under the GAEC in the Handbook of Procedure 2023.
