of <h1>India Extends MEIS Application Deadline to August 31, 2022, for Exports from Sep-Dec 2020; No Late Cut.</h1> The Government of India has extended the deadline for submitting applications under the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) for exports made between September 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020. The new deadline is set for August 31, 2022, with no late cut applicable if applications are submitted by this date. After this deadline, no further applications will be accepted, and the opportunity to submit claims will be considered time-barred. This amendment is made under the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20, as per the powers conferred by the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992.
