This duty, detailed in Notification No. 105/2008-Customs, dated September 18, 2008, specifies varying rates for different producers and exporters, payable in Indian currency. The applicable exchange rate for calculating the duty is determined by the Ministry of Finance's notifications under the Customs Act, 1962. This notification was later rescinded by Notification No. 113/2010-ADD on November 1, 2010.
