<h1>SEBI Amends Portfolio Managers Regulations: Prior Approval Needed for Control Changes, Effective Upon Gazette Publication.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has issued the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Portfolio Managers) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2021. Effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, this amendment modifies the 2020 regulations by requiring portfolio managers to obtain prior approval from SEBI in cases of a change in control. This amendment follows previous modifications made in April 2020 and March 2021 to the original 2020 regulations.
