of <h1>India Amends Notification 66/2016-Customs to Include Gold, Silver, and Precious Metals u/s 58A of Customs Act.</h1> The Government of India, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, has amended Notification No. 66/2016-Customs (N.T) dated 14th May 2016. The amendment, issued on 27th July 2020, involves a substitution in clause (1) of the original notification. The revised clause now includes 'gold, silver, other precious metals and articles thereof.' This change is made under the authority granted by sub-section (2) of section 58A of the Customs Act, 1962.
