of <h1>Excise and Customs Notification: Special Warehousing for Gold, Silver, Precious Metals u/s 58A; Amended by Notification 61/2020.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs, under the Ministry of Finance, issued Notification No. 66/2016 on May 14, 2016, specifying the class of goods to be deposited in a special warehouse licensed under Section 58A of the Customs Act, 1962. The specified goods include gold, silver, other precious metals, and articles thereof. Additionally, goods warehoused for supply to duty-free shops in customs areas, as stores to vessels or aircrafts, and to foreign privileged persons under the Foreign Privileged Persons (Regulation of Customs Privileges) Rules, 1957, are included. This notification was amended by Notification No. 61/2020.
