<h1>NCLT Rules Amended: New Rule 80A for Takeover Applications u/s 230(12), Rs. 5,000 Fee Introduced.</h1> The National Company Law Tribunal (Amendment) Rules, 2020, effective from their publication date, amend the 2016 rules. A new rule, 80A, is introduced for applications under section 230(12) of the Companies Act, 2013, using Form NCLT-1 with specified documents. The Schedule of Fees now includes a fee of Rs. 5,000 for applications concerning takeover offers of unlisted companies. Amendments in Annexures A and B include the insertion of references to rule 80A and requirements for applications related to takeover grievances, such as affidavits and supporting documents.
