of <h1>Finance Act 2019: Central Government sets July 1, 2020, as new start date for Chapter IV, Part I.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under section 11 of the Finance Act, 2019, initially appointed January 9, 2020, as the commencement date for the provisions of Part I of Chapter IV of the Act. This date was later substituted to July 1, 2020, as per Notification No. S.O. 115(E) dated January 8, 2020, and further adjusted by Notification No. S.O. 1226(E) dated March 30, 2020, which previously set the date as April 1, 2020. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, with Ritvik Pandey as Joint Secretary.
