of <h1>India Amends Warehoused Goods Regulations; Excludes Section 65 Warehouses from 2016 Rules, Effective October 2019.</h1> The Warehoused Goods (Removal) Amendment Regulations, 2019, issued by the Government of India, amends the Warehoused Goods (Removal) Regulations, 2016. Effective from October 1, 2019, the amendment introduces a new regulation stating that the existing regulations do not apply to warehouses operating under section 65 of the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment is authorized by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs under the powers granted by sections 157, 60, 67, and 69 of the Customs Act.
