of <h1>India Imposes Retaliatory Duties on 28 US Goods, Maintains MFN Rates for Others; Effective June 16, 2019.</h1> The notification amends Notification No. 50/2017-Customs to impose retaliatory duties on 28 specified goods originating from or exported to the USA while maintaining the existing Most Favored Nation (MFN) rates for these goods from other countries. The amendments include the omission and insertion of certain serial numbers and entries in the customs duty table, specifying new duties such as Rs. 41 per kg and 70% for certain goods from the USA. The notification becomes effective on June 16, 2019, and modifies previous provisions to exclude certain entries for goods from the USA.
