India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Vitamin C from China and Japan to Protect Local Industry, Effective Until April 2003.
The Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Vitamin C imports from China and Japan, following findings that these imports were being sold below normal value, causing material injury to the Indian industry. The duty, effective until April 15, 2003, unless extended or revoked, will be calculated as the difference between specified amounts ($12.17 per kg for China and $12.62 per kg for Japan) and the landed value of the imports. The duty is payable in Indian currency, with the exchange rate determined by the Customs Act, 1962, at the time of the bill of entry.
