India Ends Anti-Dumping Duty on Graphite Electrodes from China After Mid-Term Review Shows No Injury to Domestic Industry.
The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has decided to rescind the anti-dumping duty on 'Graphite Electrodes of all diameters' originating from or exported by China, as per Notification No. 44/2018-Customs (ADD) dated September 6, 2018. Following a Mid-term Review, it was concluded that the imports from China have decreased, the domestic industry is not suffering from injury, and there is a significant shortage of these goods in India. The review determined that continuing the anti-dumping duty is unnecessary, prompting the discontinuation of the duty initially imposed by Notification No. 04/2015-Customs (ADD).
