<h1>India Amends Import Policy: Fresh Ginger from Nepal Now 'Free' Under Exim Code 0910 11 10 per Indo-Nepal Treaty.</h1> The import policy for fresh ginger under Chapter 09 of the ITC (HS) 2017, Schedule-I, has been amended. Previously classified as 'Restricted,' the import of fresh ginger wholly produced in Nepal is now classified as 'Free' under Exim Code 0910 11 10. This amendment is made in accordance with the Indo-Nepal Treaty of Trade, specifically Articles IV and V. The change was issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and is effective from July 2, 2018.
