of <h1>India Updates Import Policy for Kabuli Chana and Bengal Gram: Free Import Under New HS Codes.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 02/2015-2020, dated April 16, 2018, incorporating new Harmonized System (HS) codes under Exim Code 0713 of Chapter 07 in the ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule - I (Import Policy). This establishes the import policy for Kabuli Chana, Bengal gram, and other related items. The new codes specify that the import of Kabuli Chana, Bengal gram (desi chana), and other related items is free. This action is taken under the authority of Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020.
