of <h1>New SEZ for IT Services Established in Hinjewadi, Pune; Approved as Inland Container Depot Under Customs Act.</h1> The Central Government has notified a 3.4659-hectare area near Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjewadi, Pune, Maharashtra, as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services. This notification, dated March 14, 2018, follows the proposal by a private company under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. An Approval Committee has been constituted, comprising various government officials and representatives, to oversee the SEZ's operations. The SEZ is also designated as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, effective the same date.
