of <h1>India Updates Tariff Values for Palm Oils, Soybean Oil, Brass, Poppy Seeds, Gold, Silver, and Areca Nuts.</h1> The Government of India, through the Central Board of Excise and Customs, has issued Notification No. 78/2017-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated 14th August 2017, revising tariff values for certain goods under the Customs Act, 1962. The updated tariff values are specified for crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, other palm oils, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, other palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, poppy seeds, gold, silver, and areca nuts. These changes amend the earlier notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) and are intended to regulate the import duties on these commodities.
